Farr West was founded in 1968 by Jack and Iris Farr West. The family-owned company still designs and manufactures luxurious, high quality,
functional lingerie 40 years later.
Lindsey Roscoe and Chuck Farr West assumed responsibility for managing the company upon their parent's retirement in 2000. Both are
passionate about continuing the legacy of a family-friendly working environment devoted to producing the best lingerie products possible.
The Farr West family is proud of the company's high quality standards and its reliable, friendly service.
Farr West is the primary better daywear resource for retailers such as Bloomingdale's, Dillard's, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom, Macy's,
and e-lingerie and 300+ women's lingerie specialty stores nationwide. All Farr West garments are made in the USA under the registered
trademarks: Farr West, Lindsey Roscoe, and Lindsey Luxe.
For nearly 35 years, Lindsey Roscoe has continued to design luxurious intimate apparel. Lindsey began working at the company's inception
with her parents and founders, Jack and Iris Farr West. She graduated from Syracuse University's School of Visual and Performing Arts with a
BFA in Fashion Design and a minor in painting in 1974.
By 1979, Lindsey was the head designer with her own Lindsey Roscoe brand. During that same year she worked with Roy Raymond, the founder
of Victoria's Secret, developing his first private label collection. Under Lindsey's direction, Farr West has produced all categories
of intimate apparel including daywear, bra and panty sets, sleepwear, loungewear, and robes. She became CEO in 2000 when her parents
retired.
Ultimately Farr West created the perfect niche in the innerwear market by focusing on anti-cling daywear styles such as half-slips,
camisoles, and full slips. Lindsey designs under three registered trademarks: Farr West - an essential collection of beautifully made
anti-cling camisoles, half slips, and full slips; Lindsey Roscoe - a collection known for carefully selected quality lace trims; and
the Lindsey Luxe label - a designer luxury collection of silk daywear, baby soft cotton interlock sleepwear, and the "New Line"
collection featuring a stretch anti-cling charmeuse that Lindsey developed exclusively for Farr West.
Farr West has a highly skilled and devoted staff of 22 people in our California studio/workshop. Our employees pride themselves on our
reputation for high quality product and reliable friendly service. Farr West collections are designed and constructed of select fabrics
and trims, some of which we have developed exclusively for Farr West. Each garment is cut and sewn with care in our workshop. Each sewer
is responsible for the quality control of each piece they work on before it is passed to the next sewer. The finished garments are then
reexamined by the inspection department, pressed, and carefully folded and packed with tissue into boxes for shipment. In 2007
Farr West shipped 99% of its orders complete. We believe our attention to quality design from the moment an idea is conceived, to the
time a garment leaves our workshop, is the reason we have less than .01% returns from our retail partners.
